Microsoft released two critical bulletins addressing two vulnerabilities - one in Windows and one in Office. Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 will receive the update; however, neither is vulnerable in its default configuration.
The May 2010 security bulletins do not address Microsoft Security Advisory (983438) - Vulnerability in Microsoft Sharepoint. Microsoft is still working on an update to fix the vulnerability.
The security updates for the May 2010 bulletins are available for download at the Microsoft Update web site (http://www.update.microsoft.com). Please note that systems joined to the LSU Active Directory automatically receive the critical security updates when available. Other updates will have to be installed from Microsoft Update.
Remember to close all applications at the end of work day today, as security updates may require a restart of your machine.
