Critical Oracle Java 6 & 7 Patch Update August 2012

Oracle released Java 7 Update 7 and Java 6 Update 35 to address the critical vulnerability announced in late August. The vulnerability is being actively targeted by attackers so it is very important this update be applied to affected machines as soon as possible. The vast majority of MainFrame users have Java installed and are affected by this issue.

Some Windows users may get the Java update automatically, however this should not be relied upon or assumed. Some programs must use Java 6 due to stability issues. However when possible, we encourage users update to Java 7. 

Please also note that Java is known for leaving previous versions installed. After installing the update, check your programs for previous versions of Java and remove as necessary.
