Microsoft Security Bulletin Summary for March 2009

Microsoft Security Bulletin Summary for March 2009 contains three security bulletins. One bulletin addresses “critical” vulnerabilities in Microsoft Windows Kenel. The other two bulletins address “important” vulnerabilities in Microsoft SChannel and DNS/WINS Server. Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer (http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/tools/mbsa2_1/default.mspx) can be used to detect missing security updates on your computer.

Microsoft has released security updates for the vulnerabilities, and the updates are available for download at the Microsoft Update website (https://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/). Please note that systems joined to the LSU Active Directory automatically receive the appropriate updates when available. Remember to close all applications at the end of work day today, as security updates may require a restart of your machine.
