FREE CREDIT MONITORING ENDS

Due to budget cuts, the free Equifax credit monitoring service ended on September 30, 2010.  The service provides subscribers with timely alerts to changes in financial accounts allowing them to detect unusual activity and possible identity theft, and has been available to LSU faculty, staff, and students free of charge for the past four years.  Those currently enrolled in the service should have received a message from Equifax and had an opportunity to individually renew the service at a discounted rate.
