The State of Louisiana OIT Chief Information Security Officer has the responsibility for defining and implementing enterprise security policies, standards, guidelines and best practices for state agencies that are under the jurisdiction of Act 772.

This legislation requires notification to any Louisiana resident whose unencrypted "personal information" was, or is reasonably believed to have been, acquired by an unauthorized person as a result of a "security breach."
