Laptop Locate is currently being discontinued.
The IT Security and Policy Office recommends LoJack for Laptops (http://www.absolute.com/en/lojackforlaptops/home.aspx) as a replacement for individuals (not free).
If departments are interested in an enterprise product such as Computrace (http://www.absolute.com/en/products/computrace/features.aspx), they should contact us at its-security@lsu.edu.
