Personal Access Web Services (PAWS) is a dynamic electronic portal which delivers a suite of applications to members of the LSU community based on their relationship to the University. PAWS provides each user with an individualized Web desktop accessed via a browser and is therefore unconstrained by computing platforms, location, or normal business hours.

The applications delivered via PAWS are supported by the entire University Information Systems department and by our campus partners. The expertise needed to support PAWS applications includes business systems analysts, campus administrators, database administrators, graphic designers, mainframe programmers, subject matter experts, systems programmers, and Web programmers.

The underlying PAWS technological framework is supported by the UIS Portal Technologies group. Their mission is to develop and provide application architectures and standards for the enterprise portal and to design and build new templates for Web-based applications to be reused in the portal.

Campus Partners: Too numerous to mention.
