The mission of University Networking & Infrastructure (UNI) is to support the Flagship IT Strategy by providing comprehensive information communication technology services and infrastructure to connect the LSU community to the world. UNI designs, implements and manages solutions which provide for the University's voice, data and video communications. Services provided by UNI include installation and maintenance of metallic and optical cabling, network architectural design, software specification and configuration; and the specification, operation and maintenance of transmission hardware and software.

University Networking & Infrastructure (UNI) reserves the hours between 4:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on Wednesdays to perform scheduled maintenance and upgrades to the network. UNI will notify the departments via the Network Contacts of any emergency maintenance that must be performed outside this window. Departments which have critical need for the network during the reserved window should coordinate with their deans and vice chancellors to notify UNI in advance. However, you are discouraged from scheduling critical functions within this window.

UNI has completed its Campus Cyberinfrastructure Plan which may be found online here
