The START program needs LSU students who are willing and able to train other LSU students in computer technology. START trainers facilitate individual consultations and group training in Middleton Library upon request. We are looking for people with presentation experience and people skills.

Job Duties of Student Technical Trainers:
Train fellow students in consultations or workshops. Topics include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Front Page), PAWS, Adobe Photoshop, ILife, HTML and Web design, JavaScript, Macromedia Suite (Dreamweaver, Flash, etc.) Mathematica, Matlab and more.
Assist with duties at the Middleton Library Print Center.
Qualifications
Full-time LSU student
Ability to work independently
High fluency in English and the ability to communicate with students to convey technical concepts in an “easy to understand” manner
Must be available to work late afternoons/evenings
Willing to commit to the program for at least 2 semesters
